Hi ,
It may not be snowing here in Southern Oregon, but it's time for some arctic fun! If you're looking for a new theme for your preschool classroom, why not try out Arctic Animals? There are so many different creatures for children to learn about, and we've got some fantastic freebies you can use to get started:
Children love to learn about animals, especially animals that can survive in the cold harsh arctic tundra! These free arctic animal printables are just right for your winter preschool lessons. Children can learn all about the amazing creatures that thrive in the worlds arctic deserts. This is a great time to tie in some animal science, habitats & biomes as well as seasonal migration patterns and hibernation books.
January is the perfect time to dive into winter unit studies. Learning about snow, snowflakes, ice, and all that entails from animal behavior to winter fun! The dough is soft and has a bright fresh scent that your kids will love ( I enjoy digging into it a bit myself!). Keep your dough in the refrigerator when not in use to keep it fresh longer and also give them a little cold feeling to their “snowy” playdough for at least the first few minutes!

Game Play: Name the arctic animals with the labels. Choose a fact card and decide which arctic animal fits the description.
