Hi there!

When we made the switch to Time4Learning a few years ago, everything changed. I love the freedom and flexibility that comes with using a student-paced, online curriculum, and that I don't have to lesson plan or grade anything—it's all done for me. But the best part? Seeing my kiddos have fun learning with a curriculum I know I can trust.

As someone who had to make the switch a few years ago, here are my tips to make it as simple and seamless as possible.

Note what has and hasn't worked so far. Did you go the textbook route? Were your children bored? Try a different approach! Perhaps eclectic homeschooling is more your style or an interactive, online program.

Find out how your child learns best. Is he a visual learner? Does she prefer the hands-on approach to learning? Once you know your child's learning style, you'll be able to narrow down your curriculum options.

Share the administrative tasks. You may not have as much time to lesson plan and grade as you'd like, and that's okay! Get help from your homeschool group or look for a curriculum that includes online lesson plans.

If your current homeschool curriculum isn't making the grade (no pun intended), making the mid-year transition to a new curriculum doesn't have to be stressful or complicated. Once you know what you're looking for, you'll be ready to find the perfect curriculum for your family!
