Below are a few tips we've put together that will help you and your preschooler have a great year learning together.
- Give it time. Are you starting a new curriculum? Is it your first year? Make the transition a bit easier and more manageable for both you and your preschooler by starting a few weeks early.
- Take it easy! Try not to stress when things don't go as planned. Didn't get to everything on your schedule or lesson plans for the day? It's ok!
- Talk it out. Do you notice a change in your child's behavior? Ask your child questions and find out why they feel the way they do. Hear them out and be ready to offer reassurance and lots of hugs and kisses.
- Make it fun! Who says you have to spend your day learning at home? Change up your weekly routine with a trip to the park and explore nature with a fun scavenger hunt or take a field trip to your local children's museum. Make these exciting outings and time together an opportunity to learn something new.
- Get involved. Join a play group or start a new one. It'll be a fun way for your little one to have friends to play with and help you meet other like-minded families.
