Hi ,

Summer is upon us and for many homeschooling families that means planning for the next year.  However, if you are like me you are likely still struggling to get through the remainder of this current year....and "Can't Even Begin" to think about next year.

I totally get it.

However, sometimes the Best Homeschool Sales happen at the end of the school year. (Prices seem to go down during this time and if you can spare a day or two for planning it's a great time to pick up some homeschool basics.

Personally, I order Math and Science over the Summer because the prices are low, and those are subjects and curriculum publishers I know we are going to continue with.  Often times during the Summer publishers will offer Free Shipping coupons which really add up!

Here are a few tips I've learned over the years:

Stay Organized
Did you download your free planning pack yet?  Don't over organize though, you'll exhaust yourself and give up.

Buy ahead of time
Sometimes I'll buy a year or two in advance.  I do this only when I know for sure I'm going to use a product.  Apologia, Math-U-See and Notgrass History are items I always purchase ahead of time when they are on sale.

Follow Curriculum Publishers on Social Media
This is a great way to stay on top of deals and coupons.  You can also subscribe to their email lists and set up a rule that the emails get sent into a folder.  Then when you are ready to buy you can check through your emails for coupons.

Buy E-Books when possible  -----> Especially during the BYB Sale
I love eBooks. I can print for my children year after year and I've saved a ton of money using downloadable homeschool material instead of tangible books.  There is a time and place for both.  I generally try to get all my consumable (write in, workbooks, etc..) curriculum in eBook format.

Make Homeschooling Friends
Often times you can borrow or lend a non-consumable text book instead of buying one.  This is a great way to network with your community as well.
26 Week Curriculum
Letter of the Week Simplified!  Over 650 pages of downloadable resources for teaching children the Alphabet one week at a time. For each letter of the alphabet you’ll receive 25 pages of activites, worksheets, charts, coloring pages, math explorations and more. Designed to keep the prep work to a minimum, our letter of the week Alphabet Curriculum can be spread over 26 weeks on a three or four day schedule.
