Hi ,

I don't know about you but sometimes I'm overwhelmed at all the Math manipulitives and teaching resources to purchase for my classroom.  While we own quite a few of these hands on resources, not everything needs to be purchased.  In fact, you can easily make your own with a little creativity. Today I want to share some free printable Math manipulities you can make for your classroom.  I usually print mine on cardstock and laminate for durability, but that is an extra step, these sets are really ready to print, cut and play!
This set includes a free printable Base 10 blocks.  There is a hundreds board, Tens, and Single Unit blocks.  Print on colored cardstock so children can easily identify the size of the unit. Be sure to print enough of each size for children to create large numbers.  I recommend printing the following pages: Hundreds Board (print 9), Tens Strips (print 2) Ones (print 1) for each child.  Be sure to laminate for durability.

Our free printable fraction circles are designed to make it easy to teach children fractions and fraction equalities. These printables are available in color and black and white.  I recommend you print them on colored cardstock paper and laminate for durability.

This set includes the following sizes:

1/2   1/3   1/4   1/5   1/6   1/7   1/8   1/9   1/10   1/11   1/12   1/16

Use these free printable nets to build and create 3D shapes.  Children can make a Cube, Cylinder, Cone, Pyramid and more.  This is a great way to add a little hands on fun to your math curriculum.  Print on cardstock and laminate if using for a classroom set.  (Tape the edges) If using for one child, use simple colored paper and glue stick.

Carefully arrange your shapes to make a picture.  Can you make your own picture?  Laminate and cut out your tangram shapes.  Print one set of outline cards and one set of shadow cards. Store in page protector sheets in a three ring binder. Place an envelope in the front pocket of the binder. Using the shadow cards should make the game much harder for young children.  To ensure they don’t get frustrated encourage them to take a peek back at the outline cards.  Additionally, encourage children to try to make their own shape for others to copy.

Fraction Strips & Making a Whole: Children can try their hand at filling the Whole strip using different sized fraction bars.  Have them write down their final results as an equation.

For example;  1/9 + 1/9 + 1/9  + 1/3  + 1/3  = 1
