Hi ,
The research is clear:
Student Engagement Matters.
If you've been homeschooling or teaching in a standard classroom for any amount of time, I'm sure you've experienced this first-hand. There is no question that children who are actively engaged in the learning process experience a more robust and meaningful
education.
As a homeschool mom of four, I've witnessed this connection over and over again through out the years. The more my kiddos were engaged with the content, the longer they retained, recalled, and even transferred the information to other life experiences. Additionally, I noticed an unanticipated correlation to their increased engagement levels.
Suddenly, I found that I was much more interested in teaching the content as well.
Imagine that!
Their excitement to learn was so infectious that it breathed life and meaning back into my teaching experience. It was like a beautiful symbiotic cycle of learning, the stuff homeschool dreams were made of.
