Now, as homeschoolers ourselves, we know that not every child learns or progresses on the same schedule. In fact, I can tell you that my children have all learned at different rates than the traditional school setting. So, these forms are not meant to discourage you from the progress you are making with your students. They are just intended to be a helpful tool to help you individualize your child's education, and
to organize or identify some of your teaching goals for the remainder of the year.
In fact, these assessment sheets can be used to show growth over the year as well. you could take them at the start of the coming year, and then again at the end of the year to see how your student has progressed! If you have a kiddo that thrives with goal setting and accomplishments, you could hang a couple up on the wall and work on them together each morning, checking things off as you
go.
