Hi ,
Are you struggling with finding just the right writing program for your beginning or reluctant writer? Well today, we are ecstatic to share our newest bundle of writing resources with you: A Year of Guided Writing for
Kindergarten.
Currently, we have the months of September and October available. Each month includes 20 thematic writing prompts that are designed to slowly build writing skills over the course of the year.
This is a GROWING bundle, which means you can purchase NOW for the price of two months, and receive each additional month as they are completed at no additional cost. Each time we add a new month the price will go up, so to score the best price, you'll want to purchase ASAP.
Each of the 20 writing prompts provide children with a question to respond to. Students are given a response template and a variety of different response options in a word bank. This takes a lot of the guess work out of writing, and is designed to encourage even the most reluctant
writer to get an answer down on paper. The format of the activities not only build writing and vocabulary skills, but independence as well.
When complete, each writing sample can be cut out, and then pasted into a writer's portfolio (spiral notebook). This special notebook can not only serve as a body of work, but as a special keepsake as well.
Over the course of the year, students will work on different writing styles including; expository, narrative, persuasive, and descriptive. Additionally, your students will be introduced to a variety of response types, such as polls, lists, comparisons, opinion, poetry, fairy tales, and more. The entire program will be designed to work together so that your students are slowly building upon their writing skills over the course of the
year.
While students will be exposed to a small amount of grammar in this course, the overall goal is to ignite a love of writing with fun and engaging activity pages. This new guided writing program is designed to be a precursor to our best-selling How to Write a Sentence and How to Write a
Paragraph curriculum, during which students will continue to build a strong foundation in both writing and grammar.
