Hi ,
After learning how to count, students can begin to learn to solve small addition and subtraction problems. The best way to introduce this concept to young learners, is with hands-on manipulaitves such as counters, or blocks. These counters can be used to visually represent addition problems, making them easier to understand.
We have two new addition math mats you can use with your students today!
These activity pages work well with building blocks, or even number magnets, and really, whatever you have on hand; beans, coins, dried pasta...etc
